Instruction for applying visa

1. Applicant is advised to apply visa during 0900-1200 hrs.
every working days of the Embassy.

2. The Embassy regrets that it is unable to accept any visa application form sent by post or e-mail. Applicant is requested to file an application in person at the Royal Thai Embassy.

3. The applicant¡¯s passport/ travel document must have
at least 6 - month validity
on the applying date.

4. All documents submit to the Embassy must be original and in case of absence of required documents, a letter of explanation must be provided.

5. Documents in foreign languages must be translated in English and it should be notarized by notary organs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
*Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional documents as deemed necessary

6. Applications with proper documents will be processed
within 3 working days.

7. Fees must be paid in Korean Won cash only and are non-refundable.

8. Please note that the period of visa validity is different from the period of stay. The visa validity is a period during which a visa can be used to enter Thailand. Generally, the validity of a visa is 3 months, but in some cases, visas maybe issued to be valid for 6 months, 1 year or 3 years (Special visa, Diplomatic or Official visa). The validity of a visa is granted with discretion by the Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General and is displayed on the visa sticker. 

9. The period of stay depends on the type of visa and is granted by an immigration officer upon arrival at the port of entry.

 

Transit visa - up to 30 days from the date of entry.

  Tourist visa - up to 60 days from the date of entry.
  Non-Immigrant visa - up to 90 days from the date of entry.

10. A visa entitles the holder to travel to Thailand; it does not guarantee entry which is entirely at the discretion of the authorities of the port of entry.

VISA REQUIREMENT

As a general rule, any foreigner seeking entry into the Kingdom of Thailand is required to apply for a visa from Royal Thai Embassy. To do so, a foreigner must possess ;

A valid passport (at least 6 months)and one photocopy of passport

or travel document that is recognized by the Royal Thai Government and comply with the conditions set forth in the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (1979) and its related provisions.

One completed and signed application form

One passport-size photograph (2"x3")

Photographs must ve a light color background with a full-face view of the person without wearing a hat or dark glasses.  Photo must be taken within 6 months.

International Health Certificate (only whom travelled from the countries which have been declared Yellow Fever Infected Areas) and one photocopy of it

Processing fees are payable only in cash.
